Route 9 and Main Street Roadway Improvements
Project Features:
- Supported the Township of Woodbridge’s Main Street Rehabilitation and Transit Area Plan by improving a critical gateway corridor beneath US Route 9.
- Addressed long-standing congestion and safety issues at the Main Street interchange ramps serving Route 9 amid increased residential and commercial development.
- Enhanced traffic flow, safety, and multimodal accessibility while reinforcing the corridor’s role as a key entrance to downtown redevelopment.
- Developed coordinated traffic signal operations and geometric improvements to support transit-oriented development and pedestrian-friendly design goals.
- Integrated resilient stormwater management solutions, including underground detention systems and green infrastructure, in compliance with current NJDEP regulations.
