Carteret Waterfront Park, Marina, and Pier Extension
Project Features:
Led the multi-year redevelopment of the Borough of Carteret’s waterfront, transforming a former industrial site into a vibrant public destination.
Planned, designed, and implemented multiple phases of waterfront improvements, including the Waterfront Promenade, public boat launch, recreation park amenities, and the Carteret Recreation Pier.
Designed and constructed the 700-foot Carteret Recreation Pier to support passive recreation and function as a future breakwater for marina operations.
Culminated the Borough’s long-term vision with the construction of a municipal marina on a remediated industrial site.
Delivered a 184-slip marina featuring floating concrete docks, finger piers, wave attenuators, and steel sheet wave screens to reduce wind- and vessel-generated wave action along the Arthur Kill.
Provided safe land-to-water access via multiple access piers and integrated marina safety and operational appurtenances.
Completed upland site improvements including a 187-space parking area, decorative stamped and color-coated asphalt walkways, and supporting site amenities.
Advanced the latest phase of the ongoing Carteret Waterfront Improvement Program, reinforcing the Borough’s vision for a future marina and transit-oriented waterfront village.
